Walking to Nailstone

Yesterday my wife Sue and I took Okami for a walk across the fields to the neighbouring village of Nailstone. I have just bought a new Olympus camera, so I’m keen to try it out on every possible occasion!

On the lead – this is the “sheep field”!

Young rams – always inclined to be curious!

Ewes and lambs – a bit more wary!

There is an electric fence separating the sheep from the footpath.

Nailstone Church in the distance

A small stream divides the two parishes, so it's down one side and up the other.

Bridge over the stream

This is not easy to negotiate with the dog!

Nailstone Church and village

The walk is up to the church, round it, and back via a different path - at the outset.

Heading back towards home

Oil-seed rape in flower

The oil-seed rape crop is nearly in full flower. There were skylarks in this field - we spotted one perched on a plant.
