Love ItLove It WINWIN

Violet, Lavender, White, Green and Maroon Wild Flowers for Color Crazy!

I went on a short walk last week as my dogs feet and pads were still healing after getting torn trying to swim up a waterfall a few weeks ago.

On this short walk there were a lot of tiny wild flowers in bloom and I wanted to share them with you, along with some from our waterfall hike that fit for the challenge.

Here they are…

#1 In a hill of white

These tiny violet colored wildflowers were very happy.

#2 Violet

These were very delicate, and looked like crushed paper almost.

And one macro. You can see the size by the fox tail weeds beside it. Aren't they pretty, but so easy to miss. If you were on a bike you probably wouldn't see these.

#4 Lavender

I love this shade! These almost appear to come from bulbs. Just the way they grow, makes me think this. But the leaves are grass like.

#5

A little closer. They have just started to bloom with many buds to open.

#6 Green

These pretty green wildflowers were growing in the dark shade. The leaves are variegated with a lighter green splashes with the blooms in round circles and tiny white flowers in the middle.

#7 Closer

As the tiny white flowers come out they grow tall, notice the one in the back. They sure were unusual looking.

#8 Maroon

I thought these were dead at first, but noticed they sure looked healthy. They were very unusual.

#9 Poison Ivy

The only plant I could identify on this day. It is so pretty. My dad used to always say, leaves of three let it be.

85% of the population is allergic to this plant. It will make you break out in an itchy rash. I am not allergic to it fortunately. It does grow everywhere here and many hikers have to really watch out for this. Dogs can even bring the oils back on their coats. They are immune though.

    • We have nettle as well. This is very different. My grandma was sitting on her porch one day as I was weeding the hillside one day. She called an ambulance 30 minutes later. They wind brought the oils on it and she breathed it. That was a week long hospital stay.

#10 Berries!

Unless of course you are talking about berry bushes. I do not know if this is a black berry or raspberry.
