Video Made Inside Volcano Is Literally The Hottest On The Internet!

Do you know what is happening inside volcano? Volcanoes form when magma reaches the Earth’s surface, causing eruptions of lava and ash. They occur in the places where the tectonic plates meet each other. As pressure builds up inside the  Earth, it has to be released somewhere. Magma rises through cracks or weaknesses in the Earth’s crust. When it comes to the surface it’s called lava. The lava then cools and forms rocks.  That’ how volcanoes are formed. They can be active, dormant and extinct.

There are approximately 1,500 active volcanoes in the world today and 75 percent of them are located in the Pacific Ring of Fire. Italy’s volcano Etna is known for having continuous eruptions for 3,500 years. On average, 50-70 volcanoes erupt every year.

Have you ever wondered how the inside of a volcano would look?

With the help of modern technology, scientists managed to get close to an active volcano crater. With the help of a drone, we are able to see what is happening inside. It is a very tough challenge, having in mind that lava is too hot to handle. The temperature of lava when it is first ejected from a volcanic vent can vary between 700 and 1,200 degrees C or 1,300 to 2,200 F.

A group of explorers, including Sam Cossman  have  drones with cameras mounted in them to capture high-definition images of the spectacular and dangerous Marum Crater. Cossman and his team piloted the drones over the 12-kilometer caldera while confronting toxic gases and hot boiling lava. Although two drones didn’t manage to survive the harsh environment, the team was able to bring back video and photos that will help scientists learn more about the volcano and the life around it. Also, we can have a sneak peak into what’s happening in an active volcano’s crater. Will you ever dare to do this?
