At Paul Smith’s College in the Northern Adirondacks at the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association meet I like to walk around the campus. One of my favorite places is the peninsula point overlooking Lower Saint Regis Lake. This high hill allows a great view of all the surrounding water and has a great woods and tall trees that are whipped relentlessly by the winds off of the lake. Here was a downed tree that I check each year because it is so twisted and white. It is starting to decay so it won’t be here much longer. I took color and black and white images. Do you prefer one over the other?
These are great photos. They both look equally good I think.
I like them both, the black and white of course makes it look more decayed.
