Tree Roots (2014-10-13 13-12-54_02)

13 Oct 2014

Chicago, Illinois (Edgewater neighborhood)

Nikon Coolpix P7700

Editing was done with On1 Photo RAW 2020 Beta. In Develop mode under Tone I increased contrast, whites and structure, opened up the shadows slightly and decreased the highlights, midtones and blacks. I used the Auto option for Color and the High option for Details. Then I added the following filters: HDR Look (Glow), Dynamic Contrast (Natural) and Color Enhancer (Fall).

    • I actually use four different apps depending on what I want to accomplish: ACDSee Ultimate Luminar (currently Flex which will soon be replaced by Luminar 4), On1 and Affinity Photo. Each has their strengths and weaknesses.

I just got 2019 about a month and a half ago since buying it then got you a free upgrade to 2020. I had no problems at all with the 2020 Beta but the official version was released this morning and I just installed it. I haven’t had a chance to look at it yet.

Have you checked out Jim Nix’ On1 videos? They are excellent.
