Tangerine Lobster (2018-09-01 15-22-06a)
Okay, not really a monster and not really a mountain. In fact, it’s not really a lobster. It’s actually a tangerine-colored morph of a Red Swamp Crayfish and this one is maybe an inch and a half long. Full grown it will be about 4 1/2 inches long.
Class Malacostraca : Order Decapoda : Family Cambaridae : Procambarus clarkii
The photo was taken in an aquarium at the PetCo store at 6236 North Western Avenue, Chicago, Illinois.I took the photo using a Google Pixel 2 XL smartphone. I used Luminar 2018 to edit the image. First I used RAW Develop to raise the contrast, shadows, blacks and clarity. Then I added the Accent-AI, Polarizing, Dehaze, Structure (only to the crayfish and rock) and Denoise filters.

Very interesting way to look at a crawdad.
It was a matter of being in the right place at the right time.
How lovely, is that an authentic color?
The wild version is a dark red. This color is the result of captive breeding but I didn’t alter it at all.
Yes, it surely looks so good.
It is nice to capture this creature.
Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
No problem. I do think it is good to have it.
