Thankfully where I am at we are not under evacuations orders but the Rim Fire made me aware of the necessity of keeping a go bag on the ready.

We definitely are! Our Cal Fire Workers are doing an amazing job but this thing is a beast it jumped to 70 k acres over night now as big as the Butte Fire!
These mega fires are insane. I know exactly what you are going through. I made a post a while back about my evacuation. Luckily I had the dog grooming bus, I loaded it with our zoo and stuff, and went to my moms, and just kept watching it. Hey also there is a cal fire update you can get on your phone or computer and check for a face book page, those helped me out way more than the news, or waiting for the phone to ring.
I am definitely keeping updated thankfully things are looking up! Some of the evacuation orders have been lifted!
