Last week, two major earthquakes hit southern California in the area of Ridgecrest, 150 miles away from Los Angeles. On Thursday, a 6.4 magnitude earthquake rocked the state. This earthquake was the largest earthquake in around two decades.
However, that record was broken one day later as the are was rocked by a 7.1 magnitude earthquake. The impact was so strong that the Cali quake was felt in Las Vegas, in which the NBA Summer League games were cancelled for the evening.
Remember that three weeks ago, I let you know that tremors that have never been seen before in the Pacific Northwest were a sign of bigger things to come along the west coast.
I hope there will be no more such earthquakes. This is not a pleasant experience.
Many big ones are coming unfortunately.
I understand they get smaller one quite regularly.
Yes, they do, but last week was different because the first one was a 6.4 and the second one was 7.1. They usually go down, but the second one went up. More are to come.
Yes, I’m afraid that there are bigger quakes to come.
As witnessed by what happened last week, more tremors are on the way.
