I was juggling making dinner and bringing in washing from the line, while Warwick was watching the 6 O’Clock News.
When I heard some distinctive chirps and this little bird came and visited me at the clothes line bringing in the washing. The fantail chatted with me , flew like a helicopter and went back and forth, looking at me right in the eyes.
I went to get my camera and he had gone. This photo is what they look like.
It was an impressive guest, Pamela. Maybe she wants to say something to you.
Yes, he certainly is cute! He is also very tiny.
He looks cute in there!
Wonder what he is looking at… haha
Often when I take photos of these fantails they are looking straight at you, as if they are asking you a question and are interested in you.
Maybe that’s why I like fantails.
Lol, perhaps they do enjoy photoshoot? hehe
Super shot. You got a very nice visit.
Yes, I certainly did, they don’t keep still for long but are constantly moving.
A very beautiful bird dear friend … I do not know if he lives with us
A fantail is unique to New Zealand only. He flies like a helicopter.
And so … that’s even more interesting to fly like a helicopter
I have not shot so many birds so far and I do not know whether they have them here either. She is beautiful.
You certainly don’t have fantails, as the fantail only lives in New Zealand. Thanks Elenka.
For some reason knowing you miss the occasion bird picture helped me a lot! Since I miss many more than you do, at least we were connected!
Well, this bird was a ministering angel, as it came to me when I was complaining to myself. I ceased complaining immediately, as it cheered me up and made me forget about it.
I haven’t seen a fantail in our area as of yet. It’s a lovely bird.
Thanks Sharon, you won’t see one, as I said before, the Fantail lives only in New Zealand.
I like that nice looking bird in the image.
Yes, the Fantail is a very friendly and curious bird. I love the Fantail
Thank you for sharing why a Fantail is so likeable.
