She has sharp and curved nails that help her climb trees.
The long tail helps the squirrel to keep her balance while jumping from branch to branch.
The coat is thinner and lighter in the summer and thicker and darker in the winter.
However, the belly coat always remains white.
It is distributed in forest and forest-steppe regions, and in the north reaches the tundra.
Prefers dark coniferous forests.
