Nature Tuesday – Waitaramoa Park in Remurea

This is a journey of last Sunday in this beautiful park in Remurea.

I arrived in Stand-in Avenue. This is the park where you can see in the thumbnail and there are homes nearby. My husband Warwick grew up in a house here that was built by his mother Esther James, one of the first woman architects in New Zealand. That house is gone.

I am sorry I have been not as active and the tasks needing to be done is quite overwhelming. Yet here is one good thing for today,

#1 Small bridge over a creek.

Looks nice.

#2 A White Goose greets me

It seems friendly and walks up to me. When it knows there is no food it goes for a swim.

#3 A pigeon greets me

Yes, there are a few of these here

#4 Pigeon flight

One of those rare shots

#5 Another rare shot

It is eyeing me up for food as it flies

#6 Landing

Even thinking of me sitting on the bench feeding it

#7 The Goose goes for a swim

It does not go far away

#8 Reflection of White goose and more reflections

Here it goes to a place where it grooms itself.

  1. Stunning pictures… It is weird though to see greenery in New Zealand while here the trees are multicolored because of fall with the leaves falling off and a little snow storm this last Saturday. The world is sure a big place to witness such different weather…
