Nature Tuesday – Tern Flight

This is taken at Karaka Bridge, South Auckland.

Terns are sea birds and some migrate like the Arctic Tern. The Arctic Terns goes from the North Pole to the South Pole every year, and no passports needed!

I am not sure what type of Tern this is and don’t know if it migrates, my guess is that it probably does not have to.

    • I am often baffled by such a small creature, our aviation industry could learn from these birds, when they burn off energy they give off carbon dioxide and water only…
If humans burned off energy like them we would die, but birds are designed for flight.
