Macro Monday – Vegetation of Hunua Falls

I went for a short walk in a Hunua Falls track and took a few photos of our New Zealand bush vegetation.

Here is a few unusual photos.

#1 Daisies

This is common amongst lawns.

No they are very tiny Daisies, we used to make Daisy chains as children and they are very small.

#2 Moss on Punga Tree

Nice moss like vegetation

#3 Vegetation

We have several leaves of a New Zealand plant

#4 Another New Zealand creeper on a tree

I am not a Botanist but it is an interesting creeper.

#5 Fern growing on a tree

Here we go.

We have a lot of variety of plants in our New Zealand vegetation

  It really depends on where you live in New Zealand. The majority of New Zealand is above 600 metres or 2000 feet above sea level.
  
  Hunua where I have taken photos is, Hunua falls stands 30 metres high.
  
  The water is all around us in Auckland, so it depends on where you are. The closer you are to the level of the water, the more likely you are to get flooded.
  Some beaches are elevated above the water it depends on where..
  
  Most of us in Auckland don’t worry about being flooded.

      Yes, the rising sea levels will affect some New Zealand people, in the future, those living in coastal areas or near rivers or water ways..
