First day of the week is Monday and in New Zealand, this Monday is “labour Day!” which is a national holiday in New Zealand.

We do not have this holiday in our country.
I suppose people have different types of holidays in their country. Labour Day, is all about making situations fairer for those in the work force.

Labour day is the First of May in Spain, it is a public holiday. There are always demonstrations and things like that.
That’s wonderful, and interesting that other countries also have labour Day.
It is funny that each nation of the world celebrates labor day, but none of us share a global holiday for those who toil.

In the UK it is May the 1st, which is recognised worldwide as the “workers’ day”. This was introduced by a Labour government some years ago, and the Tories have never dared to take the holiday away, although many of them – being from the boss class – might quite like to do so.
Well, no surprises there Indexer, there are some in the NZ National party who may hold that type of view.
I often wonder if anything is fair at all
