Macro Monday – Old man's beard( Clematis Vitalba)

Hello friends and Happy New Year! For the first edition of Macro Monday in 2018, I chose to show you the of Clematis Vitalba,  a plant that in Romania meets in damp wetlands from the plain up to the  the mountains. It is a liana that grows on trees, vines, fences.. Clematis vitalba is known as Old man’s beard. In Romania we call it Curpen de padure. Clematis vitalba is a climber that has greeny-white flowers with fluffy underlying sepals. The many fruits formed in each inflorescence have long silky appendages which, seen together, give the characteristic appearance of old man’s beard.
