Lake Ohrid

Lake Ohrid. 

It is the deepest lake on the Balkan Peninsula, divided between Northern Macedonia and Albania. 

In 1980, the lake, along its coast and the city of Ohrid, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 

It covers an area of 353.9 – 362.6 km². The altitude is 693.17 m. 

The water is very clear and the bottom can be observed at least 10 m. deep.
