Hole in Riskshield Protection Package

source

RoundUp WeatherMax and Roundup Transorb agricultural herbicides that are manufactured by Monsanto all carry a Riskshield guarantee for any farmer that uses this product to eliminate weeds from his or her farm.

The Riskshield guarantee is rather extensive.  Here are the four different facets of the warranty that are honored by Bayer, the owner of Monsanto.  The limit is up to 640 acres.

– Rainfast Guarantee.  If RoundUp does not begin to destroy weeds 30-60 minutes after rainfall, Bayer will cover the cost for the amount of herbicide that was used.

– Crop Safety Guarantee.  If RoundUp destroys crops, then Bayer will cover the costs for crop damage.

– Crop Establishment Coverage.  Some farmers will use RoundUp to destroy all of the weeds before planting new seeds.  If those seeds do not create a harvest, then Bayer will cover for the amount of RoundUp that was used.

– All Weather Warranty.  If weather conditions prevent the effectiveness of RoundUp, then Bayer will cover the costs for the amount of RoundUp that was used.

If you look at what I titled this post, you would think that the hole in the Riskshield guarantee is that the warranty coverage only goes up to 640 acres for the farmer.  However, a farmer that has over 640 acres is generally making six figures in assets per year.  With that much acreage, a farmer already compensates for the losses due to weeds, pests, or weather.

The hole in the Riskshield guarantee is that RoundUp causes cancer.  Bayer and Monsanto sell these products to the farmer without protecting the health of the farmer.
