Goat Hill Road Beverly’s seaside neighborhood.

This photo was taken on a cold sunny day in February in my home town, Beverly, Massachusetts near Goat Hill Road, a seaside neighborhood with a rich history. Immigrants from many different parts of the world began to settle there in 1830s when the addition of the railroad occurred, because there was a wealth of jobs suddenly available.

The rich ethnicity added to the culture and the customs of Goat Hill as a neighborhood, and some of the culture is still apparent though the lives and attitudes of contemporary Goat Hill residents. Our family enjoys this area. It’s a great place to relax, safe, with friendly neighbors. It is also a perfect viewing spot for the amazing 4th of July fireworks.
