Gazania belongs to the flowering plants in the group Asteraceae, that is native to Southern Africa.
In Germany, they call the Sonnentaler (golden taler / golden coin) or Mittagsgold because their flowers open around noon and only on sunny days.
There are many varieties, hybrids of different types used for decoration in parks and gardens.
The flower is light-hearted, dry-resistant and warm-hearted. Prefer fertile, light soils.
In evenings and in bad weather the colors are closed. Depending on the variety, they are dyed yellow, orange, red, white, purple, with darker spots in the base.
If you choose to reproduce by seed, it is best to sow in April or May.

There are people who are capable of doing miracles with flowers. I’m not one of them, but I like to shoot them : )
These are all so stunning Georgi.
Their colors were so bright…
I love those flowers.
I had Gazania in the yellow and red color in my garden.
I saw them in a park in downtown Sofia
Gazania is a very beautiful flower.
Really they are very beautiful : )
What a beautiful flower. I always just thought they were a type of daisy. I love the curled leaves and all the colors they come in. Great shots!
And I thought of them as daisies … : )
