We only get dahlias in the highlands of Malaysia. It is too warm for them to grow in Kuala Lumpur. This glorious purple, I found in Fraser’s Hill, a hill resort situated in the Main Range (Titiwangsa) of Peninsular Malaysia which is cool enough. And it was a rather large one!
Dahlias are native to Mexico and were declared its National Flower in 1963. Dahlias represent dignity and elegance, as well as a symbol of a commitment and bond that lasts forever.
