Eurasian coot

Eurasian coot (Fulica atra). 

Also known as the common coot, or Australian coot. 

Widespread in Europe, Asia, North Africa, Australia and the islands of New Guinea and Tasmania. 

When swimming, her head sways in tact with the movements of her feet, making it easy to recognize, even from afar. 

In migration and winter forms large separate flocks.
