Douentza Garden, July 2018

It’s been a long time since we had rain here on the Emerald Isle, and this is something we just aren’t used to. While the drought has turned lawns into coir mats, and frazzled many delicate plants, the prolonged heat has had a beneficial effect on some plants in my garden, and those are the ones I’ll highlight in this series of photos I shot over the last few days. Please let me know what you think, and  vote up your favourites!

If you like my garden, take a look at my wife’s YouTube channel – she has over 12,000 subscribers so she must be doing something right!

    • Thanks a lot, Carol! We are not the only place suffering from extreme weather, and of course there are many places where the results are much more serious, so I know it’s important to keep perspective 🙂
