The photo was taken at North Pond, Lincoln Park, Chicago, Illinois using a Panasonic DMC-FZ50 with an Olympus TCON-17 tele-extender. This is far outside the normal range for this species. It is normally found west of the Rocky Mountains so it’s about 1,500 – 2,000 miles away from home.
