While Colorado doesn’t have anywhere near the number of lakes that we did in Wisconsin where I grew up, there are a number of community reservoirs created to help capture the runoff from the mountain snows. One such area is the Cherry Creek Reservoir. There are a number of hiking and biking trails surrounding the reservoir, and the water draws a variety of wildlife to the area. I captured the pictures below while hiking along the trails.
This is another 2020 update. While it took me a while to track down pictures from this particular hike, I’m glad that I spent the time finding these pictures. Enjoy!
