Cherry Blossom

My eldest daughter who lives in Spain for about two months shared with friends and family on social networks a beautiful photograph that portrays a bouquet of newly opened cherry blossoms. This photo was taken by herself with her cell phone in the courtyard of the house where she lives in the city of León.

I have been impressed by the beauty of this flower that springs from the cherry tree at the beginning of spring. After admiring this beautiful image I took care to look for information to know a little about it and I was able to know that in addition to the white color as the one of the photograph it is presented in different colors and special tones the pale pink.

I also learned that the cherry blossom has symbolic character for various cultures. For example, the Japanese, because of their short duration, associate it with the fragility and transience of life, but also symbolizes for them the innocence, the simplicity, the beauty of nature and the beauty that spring brings. But above all that an issue that caught my attention is the symbolic character associated with power, strength, beauty and female sexuality for the Chinese.

  1. Your information about the beautiful flowers adds to my knowledge.
Something I know little about it is that flowers are always used as symbols for various things. Many symbols with similar or different meanings depending on the culture and the origin.

    • The photograph I have published tells me about a great visual spectacle that I have not had the pleasure of enjoying. I am Venezuelan and I live in Venezuela, and when I visited Spain there were no cherry blossoms.
