Bees in the Lavender

The bees really do love the lavender. A member of the Mint family, Lavandula grows very well here in Colorado and has taken over a good portion of our flower bed. I really got lucky with a few of these pictures. The bees don’t seem to linger long in one place amongst the lavender and are constantly flitting about. I probably deleted more than half the photos that I took, but I was pleasantly surprised with some of them. While I was out capturing them, I figured that I was generally too late on the trigger (a lot of bee butts and fuzzy wings). Nonetheless, these turned out well.
