Autumn Joy Sedum

Autumn Joy Sedum is growing nicely in the garden. I have kept it in my deck garden for years. I finally decided to move it to the garden as it was outgrowing the container. Transplanting always makes me nervous. But so far it looks nice and green.

I am not sure if it will change colors this year or not. Time will tell. I hope it does as the butterflies are always attracted to this plant. I have it beside my butterfly bush in Dustin’s garden.

Autumn Joy Sedum

There are many varieties of sedum. This Autumn Joy is my favorite. It starts out green. Then the tiny clusters turn a light pink. Then a dark pink. Finally at the end of summer the entire plant is a burgundy color. Very cool to watch the different stages. Butterflies love it. It is sort of like a landing pad for them.
