A botanical walk in Elfin Forest!

Elfin Forest is a creek outside of Escondido California and comes directly from Lake Hodges which is used for drinking water. The water is so clean and cold.  I shared some blue California Lilac bushes for Color Crazy and thought I would share some of the rest of the walk with you. Flowers are blooming everywhere!

#1 The creek

Just a little upstream from here we had to cross the creek to head up the hill.

and those tiny white flowers. This is shaded all of the time.

#5 Hardy

It only grows on the shadowed deep canyons.

#6 We are still climbing up

But the trail is really well maintained.

#7 Leaf patterns

This looked something like a carrot top.

#8 This vine

was covered in tiny flowers.

#10 Red berries

with more of those white clusters behind. Click on page two for more!
