An administration representative stopped at a ranch and talked to an old rancher. He told the rancher, “I want to scrutinize your ranch for unlawfully grown drugs.” The rancher said, “Okay, but don’t go into that field over there…”, as he pointed his finger towards the location. The administration representative verbally blew up and said, “Look, mister, I have the authority of the government administration with me!”
Getting into his rear back pouch, the overconfident officer removed his badge and arrogantly displayed it to the rancher. “See this badge?! This badge means I can go anywhere I want… On any territory! No questions asked, no answers given! Do you understand old man?!”
The rancher sympathetically nodded, apologized, and went about his everyday jobs. Moments later the rancher heard loud screams, he looked up and saw the government administration representative running for his life, being chased by the rancher’s big Buffalo. With every step, the buffalo was gaining ground on the officer, and it was likely that he would be caught up by the animal before he reached safety.
The officer was evidently frightened. The old rancher threw down his tools, ran as fast as he could to the fence, and yelled at the top of his voice……”YOUR BADGE! SHOW HIM YOUR BADGE!” “Hahahaaaa!
The badge couldn’t allow him to go anywhere as he thought. The lesson we learn here is that we should not ignore any caution in our lives for is serves a reason for its existence.
