Once a year, on the night between Saturday and Sunday to Easter (Holy Saturday), there is a traditional vatrometska battle between the inhabitants of the members of the Church of St. Mark and the people of the church of the Virgin Mary Erethianis, in Vrontados at the island of Chios, Greece. Churches that are opposite one another act as targets for mutual fire. On Saturday evening, around 8 pm, starting to shoot thousands of rockets (more than 50,000). Open space between the churches covered with smoke and noise. Targets are steeples of both churches, but since it is, of course, knows a winner then they both celebrate their victory. The tradition of over 150 years old.
