Violence in the name of cow protection need to be Stopped: The Apex Court

The Supreme Court said on Tuesday that it is the responsibility of the state governments to stop violence and vandalism in the name of cow protection. Describing such violence of the crowd as a crime, the court completed the hearing in this case.

The Petitioner has given several suggestions to the court including making human security laws. On this, the government’s lawyer said that the Center is also ready to deal with this problem.

But the major problem is law and order. On this, the court said that no person can take law in the hands.

The Lawyer of the Petitioner, advocate Indira Jai Singh argued that the victims of Mob Lynching should be taken care of as per their religion and caste while paying compensation to them but the Supreme Court replied that victims are mere victims. That means victims of Mob Lynching should be treated as per their caste and religion.
