village Attabad

4 January 2010 Hunza valley was hit by a large landslide, which buried the village Attabad and closing the river Hunza. Landslide has created a new large lake today whopping 300m deep and 16km-long. The lake is named after the village and to the former lake is located on the highway near the border of Pakistan and China. Lake today seems unreal nice and many travelers who recovered limit mandatory flat side of the road and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake.
