Top 10 most famous places to visit in Saint Lucia

The island and at the same time the country – Saint Lucia is in the Lesser Antilles, which separates the Atlantic Ocean from the Caribbean. The closest neighbors to the island are Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the south, Barbados in the south-east and Martinique in the north. Due to the often-changed British and French authorities, the country often is referred as “Helene of West India” – compared to the world’s most beautiful, world-famous woman who was the reason of the Trojan War.

The volcanic island of Saint Lucia is more mountainous than many other Caribbean islands. Its highest point is Mount Gimie rising 950 m above sea level. It is one of the few volcanoes in the world into which crater you can enter by car. The other two peaks on the island are called Mount Python. The Valley among them is one of the most beautiful places in the Caribbean.

St. Lucia’s typical Caribbean culture is the blend of British, French and African cultures. As elsewhere in the Caribbean, St. Lucia’s language is the Creole language, a popular regional music, jazz music, and glamorous carnivals.

  1. What a natural with extraordinary beauty! Unfortunately, I can not give comment on all the comments box above, even to upvote, the yellow bar always appears above with the option of “stop it” or “wait”.

  2. So beautiful it looks like what paradise would look like. That is a place of true inspiration and one could live their peacefully until the end of their days. I can tell you that I knew little about the place and more about the song.
