Three students at an Idaho school learning patriotism

Source

A very special thanks from me to the janitor at Hayden Meadows Elementary School in Hayden Lake Idaho for teaching the three students pictured who are Naylan Tuttle, Casey Dolan and Jack LeBreck on the proper way to take down an American flag and properly fold it into a triangle shape before it is returned to the school grounds until the next day of school.

Mac Marty is the janitor at Hayden Meadows Elementary who served in the United States Air Force who is teaching the students at the aforementioned school to never allow the American flag to touch the floor when it is taken down a flagpole as well as putting the flag before the start of school.

Amanda Reallan who happened to be at the school grounds to pick up her children used the power of social media to take the picture of the three students taking down the American flag at the end of the school day recently.

Reallan is impressed that Mac Marty is teaching the students the rules of respecting the American flag and be thankful for his service to our nation so we can enjoy our freedoms that came with a price.

It is interesting to see that young elementary school students are being taught how to appreciate their freedoms on this nation since the national media like to show angry citizens burning flags as a way to blow off steam over political events around the world.

All three students that are pictured are currently fifth grade students at Hayden Meadows Elementary School which is located in Idaho.

The social media sites were impressed by the image taken by Amanda to show that this nation has a great future with these children learning to appreciate their love of the nation that they call home.

  1. it the flag touches the ground, it is thought to be defiled. and flags can’t be thrown away. The U.S. Flag code states that, “the flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.”
