Taraš the village, the village in Banat in Vojvodina, is part of the municipality of Zrenjanin in Serbia and is known as the “stork village” .In the village Taraš lives 1,140 inhabitants, of whom 868 adult inhabitants and has 389 households. Every year Taraš is host to a large number of white storks and Taraš the village with the largest number of breeding pairs of white storks.
