Sunshine

This #sunshine posting has been a great experience for me. It brought together two different groups of people together and it helped me be hopeful and have a little more joy in my days. So to all of you who sent suggestions, read, commented and shared, I give you much gratitude.

I think I am am going to finish if off with Randy’s suggestion. It was a song long forgotten for me. It is also one that makes me think and that is always a welcome thing. He thinks the lyrics are key, so let’s begin with those.

“Someone told me long ago There’s a calm before the storm,I know; It’s been comin’ for some time. When it’s over, so they say, It’ll rain a sunny day,I know; Shinin’ down like water.

I want to know, Have you ever seen the rain?I want to know, Have you ever seen the rainComin’ down on a sunny day?

Yesterday, and days before, Sun is cold and rain is hard,I know; Been that way for all my time.’Til forever, on it goes Through the circle, fast and slow,I know; Can it stop, I wonder.

I want to know, Have you ever seen the rain?I want to know, Have you ever seen the rainComin’ down on a sunny day?

I want to know, Have you ever seen the rain?I want to know, Have you ever seen the rainComin’ down on a sunny day?”

  1. It reminds of a colleague who usually sings this song during occasions or gatherings. He sings well. He has been on leave for more than a month because of some sickness which requires long term medication.
