“Square wave” or “Crossed the Sea”, you can usually see in New Zealand and France, formed by the two systems of waves luck at an angle greater than 45 degrees. Even though they look interesting, bathing in these circumstances is not safe, even in shallow water.
Those squares are so obvious but as you say those must be created by cross curents and hence dangerous.
