Southbound Amtrak Train in a Chicago Forest Preserve (Faux Infrared Black and White)

Southbound Amtrak Train in a Chicago Forest Preserve (Faux Infrared Black and White) (2018-04-21 11-15-10a)

The train is passing through Thaddeus S. “Ted” Lechowicz Woods on Chicago’s northwest side heading toward Union Station in the Loop. The woods is part of the Forest Preserve District of Cook County.

Amtrak #504 is a EMD SDP40F and was built in June 1973.

I was standing just to the north of the pedestrian/bicycle bridge that crosses the tracks in the forest preserve.

The photo was taken using a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera and I used Luminar 2018 to do the editing. First I did the black and white infrared conversion by using the ‘B&W – Strong Glow’ preset from the Infrared Mastery collection. Then, in a new layer, I added the Accent-AI filter and used the Tone filter to lower the SmartTone.
