Saffron

Saffron is known as most expensive spice in the world. Short blossom season – only three weeks in the year, and painstakingly read and process, make it more expensive than other spices. From each crocus bulbs in a single season grows from two to nine flowers, purple and blue colors, each of which has three red-orange pistil 25-30 mm debt, you need quite a bit of saffron to give color and flavor of food – but a quarter teaspoons (about 10.1 grams) of fiber triturated intensively enrich 4-6 servings which can be found on sale packaged in very small quantities. Sold in the form of dried fibers or crushed.
