Every year, the promotion of the youngest officers of the Serbian Army is held in Belgrade. It’s a real parade of pride. The end of their education at the Military Academy and obtaining first ranks is celebrated by a parade in the city center. The best students receive a sword from the president of the state. Serbia today is proud of these wonderful, young people and we want them a lot of success in the ranks of the Serbian Army. How it was today in Belgrade , look at this short video.
So does each country have their own marching style?
Yes, every army has a different marching style. You can see it on recordings .. there is a difference between, for example, the Russians, Chinese, Greek … etc.
I’m a beautiful parade and tradition – I also have concerns
The parade is held every year. These young people deserve such honor. And concern is an integral part of our lives for centuries.
Military parades leave a bad taste in my mouth; too many memories of nazi and soviet parades, I guess…
I admit that Nazi parades look ominous. This parade celebrates young people who are taught to defend their own country only, not to conquer other countries and to kill innocent people.Serbia has a long military tradition, she always had a capable army officer. It’s just a pity that there are incompetent and corrupt politicians.
I don’t say all armies are evil, just that military parades always remind me of oppressive governments. But that’s probably because I’ve only seen clips of that type of parade and never your type of parade…
Then every September you can watch this wonderful parade of pride on TV Serbia. These wonderful, young people are future officers who will work for peace with other neighbors and other armies in the world.
it would be nice if the UN could make more of a difference
Looks like a wonderful parade
Yes, it’s a beautiful parade. These young people deserve such honor.
That’s a moment to ponder.
