Pieta is the first famous work of Michelangelo Buonarroti, one of the greatest artists of the High Renaissance, and also his first signed work. Michelangelo began its development with only 23 years, and ended up with 25 years ago. Giorgio Vasari, the biographer of the greatest Renaissance artists, said this sculpture as: “The most beautiful marble in Rome which can beat any living author … the realization of all the features and power you can have the art of sculpture.”
I agree with Grace , thanks for sharing
There is enough and more written about this great artist and I remember watching the movie Agony and Ecstasy.
