We all do it. We complain about the way things are and somehow we don’t feel “personally responsible” for any of it. Today I thought “every time I show an unruly burst of anger I teach someone it is acceptable to be angry in that matter. That is not what I want to teach.
This whole song is all about the fact we didn’t start the fire. When are we going to learn that it really doesn’t matter how it got started. We just need to find a reasonable end. It’s such a struggle.

I know the song and it is true about life. We may not have started the fire but it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do our best to keep it out as much as possible.
