It’s a mystery to me how name-calling went from something that happened on the playground to adults using it as a weapon. It is so commonplace that place that people seem to have forgotten how damaging it can be. Some people take words to heart and internalize them. That causes great damage.
If the goal is to erode someone’s self-esteem and make them feel worthless, then keep up with the degrading, insulting and name-calling. It will hurt them. It is doubtful that the perpetrator will get any true benefits from bad behavior. It may give them attention, but probably not the kind they need or were hoping for.
Politics has become nothing more than name-calling and mudslinging.
Gratitude for karma. It all comes out in the end.
I am against name calling.
Name calling seems to be part of the culture. We also have that here.
Words said can never be taken back. We should choose each one wisely.

Every man is worthy of respect. None are perfect, we all have a mistake.
It is still a mystery, and still sad all the way around!
Some things we just never seem to learn as a society.
that is the very sad reality, and frankly something we should fix!
Those who do not respect others will have no self-respect.
That is a very good point. I will keep that in mind.
Thanks, dear wise friend.

One bad word can make so much damage…
And there is not really a way to take a spoken word back. You are so very correct.
That’s the main problem: what is said cannot be unsaid 🙁
