Nearly 45,000 people in America die from suicide every year. That amounts to more than double the number that die in homicides, and the numbers are increasing at an alarming rate.

In one group particularly, the spike is drastically higher – white, middle-aged men. British, journalist, India Rakusen from the BBC, went to Montana, where the suicide rates are double that of the national average. So, in order to find out what drives so many of these men to such a level of despair that ultimately, taking their own lives, seemed to them, as the only option in life.

India initially tries to establish contact with suicide survivors but, in spite of her efforts, she has no initial success, until, finally she meets Russel, who reveals some shocking information about his own failed suicide…
