Last Day

This day is not an easy one. It’s my last day at the job that I love. I will still be working with the same company, in a different position. I am nervous as I prepare to pretend like this is not simply over. It should just be a normal day where I do my job. However I have been in training the last couple of weeks, so they probably know something is up. It’s totally possible I could get teary eyed and I really don’t want that to happen.

I am beginning to wonder if everything in my life reminds me of a song. Could that even be possible?

  1. Almost everything in my life reminds me of songs. I’ve been accused, rightfully so at times of speaking in Bob Dylan phrases. I answered that accusation with “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Allright”. I have an almost finished post called “Running” that is inspired by a Gwen Stefani song of the same name. Saying goodbye in any job is difficult. I wish you luck in your next chapter…

    • P S. I loved that song “Don’t You Forget About Me” and the film The Breakfast Club. I went to see Simple Minds in concert shortly after that song, when they released their next album with the hit song “Alive And Kicking”. Jim Kerr was a brilliant singer/songwriter.

  2. Sometimes a change of environment can bring good things like new opportunities and people or maybe even a new hobby or skills …

The good thing is, you’re still in the same place, so you can still meet your “old” colleagues.

  3. It is always hard to start a new job no matter if it is a different or same place . I hope the nest for you and hope it works out amazing . Good luck and have the most amazing day
