From Chicago Illinois comes an incredible story of a customer named “Mike from Seattle” who was in the company of five other people who had a superb meal at the Boka restaurant last week.
“Mike from Seattle” was in Chicago to attend a show later on in the same day that went gave the waiter who served him and his five companions a $300 dollar tip for a meal that cost $769 dollars.
The good news of Mike’s generosity did not end with the waiter getting a $300 dollar tip for his super service, Mike then went to the kitchen and he handed out $100 dollars to the 17 kitchen employees who cooked the meal as his way of thanking them for their hard work on making a super meal.
The last name of “Mike from Seattle” was not released due to privacy reasons since the majority of people who perform acts of charity do not want the public to know who they are since they do not want to be disturbed to perform acts of charity on a 24 hours, seven days a week basis.
My belief is that “Mike from Seattle” knows that people who work in restaurants do not make enough money to meet of their needs like paying the bills and putting food on the table since “Mike from Seattle” may have lived that life as a young man or knows any of his close friends who worked so hard to earn a living in their chosen profession.
It is nice to see someone like “Mike from Seattle” to assist the people who served his meal with kindness and courtesy without expecting a reward from the same person they served by giving all of them a $2,000 tip for their superb service at Boka.
This is a gesture of gratitude
Mike from Seattle was really impressed with his meal.
Well done! Nice post!
My pleasure Georgi to share these great stories.
Thats great Deepizzaguy. I can speak for the catering service I used to do. Very poorly paid as with many other professions. Good on that man, he is a hero
Mike from Seattle is an unsung hero.
That is a great gesture! Not only the generosity, but also the appreciation.
That is a very good point you have Ellie925. The waiter and cooks really impressed Mike from Seattle.
It must be a great feeling when your work is appreciated.
That is very true since kitchen employees and waiters work for small wages compared to entertainers.
What an outstanding story! It does the heart good to know that there are unselfish people out there in the world today.
That is true since the image of rich people in the media is that are greedy.
Generosity is the real wealth
Excellent point you shared on this site Albert.
