Just Don’t Want to Exercise Today?

It seems like once one starts down that slippery slope things quickly get out of hand and you never make it back to your routine. The truth is you are probably ready for a new routine.  (Don’t panic you don’t have to start all over.) 

Just do something out of the norm today that gets you moving. It could be something that just needs to be done.

~wash the car by hand

~vacuum every room in the house (if you still own a traditional vacuum)

~go for a brisk walk

~ wash four walls

~ defrost the refrigerator

~ turn up the music and dance, just dance

After a day of doing these things you might be prepared for your regular routine.

If that doesn’t work just keep cleaning until it does.

  1. It is hard to balance what, how and when for modern life. My job includes calls at 8 pm at night often. Sometimes at 7 in the morning. Finding time for me is critical!

  2. I hear you. Being a struggling writer I have to be constantly at the keyboard and my little apartment tends to be neglected. I will take your advice and this week besides doing my online work I will vacuum, dust, and clean. I also will try to get out more often however that usually changes with how I feel so I have been thinking of getting into a daily routine where every day I at least walk around the entire block.
