It’s fun to find the perfect gift for someone. We have a friend who celebrates the Kentucky Derby every year with vigor. His son, a jokey, who won the Kentucky Derby probably is the inspiration for the special place in his heart for the race. He is ill and won’t be able to attend this year. I am certain he will watch from his bed in the hospice where he is being cared for.
We sent him his Kentucky Derby Glasses all new and pretty this year and of course some Sparkling Non Alcoholic that won’t interfere with his medications. He and his three friends will toast the race. They will send us a picture and it will be added to the album that celebrates the event from the time he was two.
When age and illness limit activities and the future looks dim, it is nice to be remembered and celebrated. We can’t be there to spend the day with him, still we can make sure he has a celebration and adds more pictures to his life story album.
