Illinois Railway #3500 EMD GP35 (2018-06-19 14-57-32a)
Illinois Railway is a shortline railroad which began operations in 1997. It is owned by OmniTRAX and runs four lines amounting to 113 miles of former Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway trackage.
The locomotive was photographed just off of Main Street near Wheeler Drive in Rockford, Illinois (Winnebago County). It is an EMD GP35 which was formerly owned by the Southern Pacific.
The photo was taken with a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera. I edited the image with ACDSee Ultimate 2018. I cropped it to balance it, adjusted the lighting and the whaite balance and increased the contrast, vibrance and clarity.
