How to Prepare for JEE Main 2019?

A lot of changes have been introduced with JEE Main 2019. Shift of conducting organization from CBSE to NTA (National Test Agency), paper mode made compulsorily online, exam to be conducted twice in a year are some of the major changes brought in the exam from this year.

As the exams are now on head, tension can be felt among students as they would have to prepare for board exams and JEE Main together. It becomes difficult to prepare for both major exams simultaneously but one cannot ignore any of these too.

So, if the candidates have a balance of the two, then the results would definitely be on their side for both boards as well as JEE Main.

But to start the preparation, one must have a direction towards which he/she has to work. Following are the tips that one may follow to ace the examination:-

Lay Down a Strategy

This is the first step towards preparation of any exam. One must draft a blueprint of the plan that suits him/her. The strategy must include all the subjects in a day, although, time you spend on each subject may differ depending on their priority. The schedule that you set for yourself must be realistic and the candidate must stick to it strictly.

Beware of the Syllabus and Pattern

Now this is the fundamental requisite for any exam. One must be well aware of the syllabus and the format of the exam before preparation of the exam. Know the syllabus well and segregate the topics as per your convenience and prepare accordingly. It is advised to start with the easier topics and then move to the difficult ones so that you may cover the syllabus in a shorter time period.

Do Not Ignore the Basics

To reach the top, you must go steps by steps, if you miss the initial steps, you may fall. Same goes with the studies, one must clear the basics first and then move the questions that are one level up. With basics clear, one would not face any difficulty in the preparation and would learn the new things in the syllabus way faster.

Do Not Forget NCERT

One may not agree with this point but it has been observed since last few years in the exam, majority of the questions asked were from NCERT books of class XI and XII. One must not skip NCERT at any cost. And yes, if you have done the NCERT well, you may look up to additional books and guides to make your preparation strong.

Revision has No Limits

You cannot define the number of revisions that would be enough because more you revise, more confident you become. But time has to be considered while doing revision. Spending much time on revision of any topic would not turn out to be fruitful. At this point of time, revisions must be very quick so that you complete your syllabus without any hassle.

Solve Sample Papers and Give Mock Tests

Solving sample papers would give you confidence and makes you familiar with the format of the exam. Mock tests would help you to handle the pressure of the real exam so that you don’t get panic while giving the final shot of the exam. Give plenty of mock tests and analyze your performance with every test and try to improve it in the next one.

So, these were some of the tips that may be followed by the students while preparing for JEE Main 2019. The execution of the tips would definitely help the candidates to ace the examination with much ease.
